Happy New Year from me to you

Local First Arizona

Hope that your New Year is wonderful.  I had a horrid cold or flu so my year started slow. I found I needed to give myself a boost.  I know everyone needs a encouragement now and then so I thought I would share what I do every January.  Rather than resolutions, I make a list of 7 areas of my life and find at least one good thing I accomplished.   Here is my list made in January for my last quarter.and for 2011.

Friends - I made an effort to reconnect and spent more time with friends
Business, –  I ended last year thinking I was closing BellyDanceShoppe,  But because so many of you cared, I reopened (online, only) and BellyDanceShoppe survived, had a great December,, connected more personally with my customers .
Spiritual -  I am went to classes and read more that inspired me My favorite recent books were Mao’s Last Dancer and  Gabby, a Story of Courage and Hope
Family – Spent more time with my son, helped him connect a bit with his dad
Personal – I made appointments to take time to do go somewhere, just for me.I stepped up my dancing, finally really working on perfecting Dahlena’s routine, Tigi Matigish.
Health – got the most necessary dental work done, started working out
Money – Made it through 2011, started saving monthly,

After writing that jotting down a few things, I would like to accomplish this next quarter is easy: for example:  reconnect and go out with another friend, share, more with my dancer customers and friends, Read 3 more awesome books,

Hope that this January you will take a few minutes and write down the categories.  Write one good thing in each,  It can be as small as enjoying a sunset, picking up a phone to make that call, or landing the huge job.
